Better Days Pain Support Programmes
Pain Support Programmes (PSP) aim to help people with chronic pain to learn other ways to help manage their pain and improve their quality of life and reduce their reliance on medication.
Further information and self referral to your local Better Days PSP is available at https://www.hlcalliance.org/page/pain-support-book-now
Minor Ailments Service
A number of medicines can be obtained free of charge at your local pharmacy under the Minor Ailments Scheme. This includes treatments for:
- Acne vulgaris
- Athlete's foot
- Groin area infection
- Head lice
- Thread worms
- Ear wax
- Oral thrush
- Vaginal thrush
Freeing up appointments about these symptoms would allow your GP to spend time tackling complex problems.
A free smoking cessation service with nicotine replacement therapy and support is provided by the local pharmacies.
A video produced by the Public Health Authority shows women what to expect when they attend for breast screening. It covers the whole process of screening - from receiving the invitation letter to getting the results. The video is aimed at women who have never attended for breast screening or who have been invited for the first time. Please follow the link below to view this video.
